2016 CTBGC Student Project Award of Honor

Last night was the 10th annual CT Green Building Council – Green Building Awards and we had a great turn out from our team to accept the Student Project Award of Honor. In addition to accepting a very cool EcoSphere award, we had a chance to see some amazing projects from all over our innovative state and meet with professionals from the world of architecture, construction, and engineering .

What an amazing honor! We would like to thank the CTGBC, the jurors, and awards committee for recognizing our hard work. We also wish to thank all of the companies which sponsor our team and support our mentors – check out our page: ‘Our Supporters’ for more information.

2016 CTBGC Award Notification

In addition to entering the 2016 ACE/CIRT National Design Competition, we took the opportunity to submit the River Street Resiliency District for the Connecticut Green Building Council’s Green Building Awards this year.

The CTGBC, which is our local chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, ‘transforms the way buildings and communities are designed, built, and operated enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous Connecticut and improved quality of life for all’ .

Each year, the CTGBC searches throughout the state for projects large and small which reflect their mission, and this year we have been selected as the 2016 CTGBC Student Project Award of Honor.

Please join us at the awards ceremony on September 16th, and check out the CTGBC’s website:
